Today’s the premiere! This is the month of me starting a monthly journal (well, at least hopefully) on . The journal will consist of two essential parts:

The Personal Section will come up with some news of my everyday life with regard to my photographic activities and what you will be able to discover among my uploaded pictures during the coming month.

My Deviants Of The Month will be a selection of five deviants I would like to point out for their (in my eyes) special work or their efforts on .



All I can say is, I hope I won’t bore the pants off you with all my stuff, but I’ll try my best not to lull you in front of your screens. So starting this very day …



No, damn … I should do that one first so everybody who’s interested in this won’t need to scroll down all the way to the end of this journal … I got tagged … by my loving girlfriend (as if she didn’t already know all the stuff about me ) Well …

4. As we’re both interested in the Middle Ages, I’m doing re-enactment, too (well, at least I try)
5. Besides that, I really like taking rides with my 1966’s VW Karmann Ghia Cabriolet.
6. My garden at home is the place where I can get creative.
7. Our family’s pet is a Yorkshire Terrier and I like taking long walks with him.
8. As can be seen from 6. and 7. I really like being outside in nature …

Personal Section

First of all I like to thank all the ones of you, who visited my site and faved my work. I really thank you and I hope I didn’t forget anyone by answering the comments or thanking for ing …

So after I uploaded the last pic in April this recent seven months were quite full of work, at home as well as in university. Well, the last one certainly was the bigger part. Over all the learning, writing lab journals and trying not to mess up the exams there was not much time left to spend on . Happily these were the last exams in my university career so now I’m able to ease up a bit and spend more time on the things that got a raw deal during this time (like friends, hobbies etc.).

Nevertheless, in the few remaining time I was able to get out and take some pics that can be seen here soon. Two “events” I like to point out especially are this year’s “Festival Mediaval in Selb” and the holiday my pretty girlfriend and me took in October.

Festival Mediaval really gets better from year to year. Well, it was the second one but at least in my eyes it had more going for than last year’s, so everyone who’s able to get there and is fan of medieval spectacles, festivals and the music scene: You won’t regret it! Two and a half days of camplife, viands and great music (Faun, Omnia, Haggard to name only some … even let you forget that in the evenings it was cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. That’s the middle of September in Selb! Even I got out the winter coat and I’m a local … But what can I say, I would go there even if it was raining meteoroids …

Our holiday … Well, after a long time I was able to get to my favourite holiday-region, the “Riviera dei Fiori” on the Western Italian Mediterranean coast and the Côte d'Azur and Provence in Southern France. This one week really was great and we did see a lot … Still you got everything you need if you’re no “all-inclusive beach-holiday-maker”: The sea in front of you, the mountains in the back, blue skies above and tiny roads leading you to nice mountain villages and amazing landscapes. We both, my girlfriend and I took some 2500 pics!!! Never fear! You will only get to see the best (therefore also check out ’s gallery… ) …

My Deviants Of The Month



His flower pictures are very good. The motives are well chosen and the technical realisation is as well of good quality.
His drawings deserve only one word: Amazing. The richness in detail and the motives are great. His site is really worth a look …



This is the site of a small wildlife rehabilitation facility. AWBAR stands for "Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue". This club is dedicated to raising funds to help the animals. All deviants are welcome to donate their personal work to "artforawbar" as a print. All proceeds will go to AWBAR.
If you have a heart for animals and want to help, this is an address to go to. I think, helping such organisations is very important … So do your best.
